Your photo stays between you and ChatGPT.

AI Headshot Generator Pro ("the extension", "we", "us") is designed so that the developer never receives your photos, prompts or generated headshots. The extension runs in your browser and works directly with the ChatGPT session you are already signed into.

This policy covers the Chrome extension and this website. It does not replace OpenAI's privacy policy, which applies to the ChatGPT service and the data you send to it.

Photos you choose. The extension reads the file you select, resizes it locally in your browser, and attaches it to the ChatGPT composer. The photo is sent to ChatGPT as part of the request you send. We do not receive it.

Prompts and creative direction. The text you write or generate — including wardrobe, framing, background, lighting, expression and role/context — is inserted into the ChatGPT composer and may be stored with the request in local History. It is sent to ChatGPT. We do not receive it.

Generated headshots. When ChatGPT returns an image, the extension fetches it from ChatGPT's image hosts, compresses it, and stores a local copy for History and Download. The developer does not receive that image.

Settings and History. Your preferences and local History metadata are stored in chrome.storage.local on your device. If you activate Pro, the license key, activation ID and last validation time are also stored locally so the extension can work offline. There is no usage counter.

ChatGPT page content. The extension reads the parts of the ChatGPT page needed to locate the composer, attachment controls and a newly generated assistant image. It does not read your password or browser cookies.

• We do not run advertising pixels, session recording or cross-site tracking in the extension or on this website.
• We do not sell, rent or share personal information for advertising.
• We do not receive your photos, prompts, generated images or ChatGPT messages.
• Pro checkout and payment details are handled by Dodo Payments. We do not receive your card details.

We use PostHog to collect anonymous product events such as when the studio opens, a photo is uploaded, a look is selected, the Pro dialog is viewed, an upgrade is clicked, or a purchase completes. These events use a random installation ID and may include the app version, release channel, look ID, plan state and the source of an upgrade prompt.

We never send your photos, prompts, ChatGPT messages, generated images, license keys, email address or page contents to PostHog. The data is used only to understand where users get stuck and to improve the studio.

You can turn analytics off at any time in Account → Anonymous analytics. When it is off, the extension does not send product events. PostHog processes these events on our behalf as a service provider.

The extension uses the information described above only to provide the workflow you request: attach your photo, insert the prompt, send the message to ChatGPT, detect the generated image, save a local copy, show History and remember your settings.

If you contact support, we use the information you choose to send to respond and troubleshoot. Do not send us sensitive photos unless we specifically ask for them for a support case.

ChatGPT / OpenAI. Your photo, prompt and the resulting conversation are sent to ChatGPT, operated by OpenAI, as part of the request you initiate. OpenAI's terms and privacy policy apply to that processing.

Chrome Web Store and hosting. Google may process installation and store-related data under Google's policies. This website is hosted on Vercel, which may process standard server logs such as IP address, user agent and request time to serve and protect the site.

Dodo Payments. If you buy Pro, Dodo Payments acts as the merchant of record and processes the checkout, payment, tax, receipt and refund. The extension sends your license key to our license endpoint, which validates it with Dodo Payments. Photos, prompts and generated images are never included in that request.

PostHog. If analytics are enabled, anonymous product events are sent to PostHog for product analytics. PostHog does not receive your photos, prompts, messages, generated images, license key or email address. You can opt out in Account settings.

Google Forms. If you uninstall the extension, Chrome may open an optional feedback form hosted by Google Forms. Submitting it is voluntary; the extension does not send any uninstall data automatically. Responses are handled under Google's policies.

We may disclose information if required by law, legal process or to protect the rights, safety and security of users or the service.

The Pro plan is a one-time software license, not a subscription. The free tier includes three curated looks. Pro unlocks every look looks and future look packs and can be activated on up to three devices. The extension stores the key and activation ID locally.

Activation and periodic validation contact our license endpoint and Dodo Payments. The request contains the license key, activation ID and a device label. It does not contain photos, prompts or generated images. If a purchase is refunded or the key is revoked, entitlement can be disabled.

History is stored locally and keeps the latest 20 requests. You can delete individual results, clear all History, or uninstall the extension at any time. Settings and local History remain in browser storage until you remove them or uninstall the extension.

Anonymous analytics events are retained according to our PostHog project retention settings. Turning analytics off stops new events from being sent.

We do not run photo or image storage servers, so there is no server-side copy of your photos, prompts or generated images for us to delete. The license endpoint keeps no photo data. ChatGPT and OpenAI retain data according to OpenAI's policies and your ChatGPT account settings.

The extension requests only the permissions needed for its workflow:

• storage — save settings and local History metadata.
• unlimitedStorage — keep compressed local copies of generated headshots in History.
• chatgpt.com and chat.openai.com — inject the studio panel, attach the photo, insert the prompt, send the message and detect the generated result.
• *.oaiusercontent.com and *.blob.core.windows.net — fetch the image ChatGPT just generated so it can be saved locally for History and Download.
• our license and analytics endpoint — only when you activate or validate Pro, or when anonymous analytics are enabled. The endpoint forwards product events to PostHog; it never receives photos, prompts or generated images. You can turn analytics off in Account settings.

Photos are resized in your browser and sent directly to ChatGPT over HTTPS. There is no developer backend to breach. Local data is protected by your browser profile and device security; anyone with access to your browser profile may be able to view local History.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Use a trusted device, keep your browser and operating system updated, and sign out of shared computers.

The extension is not directed to children under 13 (or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). Do not use it to upload a child's photo without permission from a parent or guardian. If you believe a child's information has been handled improperly, contact us and delete the local History entry.

The extension runs in your browser, but ChatGPT and OpenAI may process data in countries other than yours under OpenAI's policies. If you use the extension from outside the country where OpenAI operates, you are responsible for complying with local law and obtaining any necessary permissions for the photos you use.

We may update this policy as the extension changes. We will update the date at the top of this page and, for material changes, provide a notice in the extension or on this website. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
